On May 30th, we kicked off summer with our Community Celebration! Thanks to the many who joined us! We shared exciting news about current events, new property acquisitions, recognized our volunteers of the year, and how YOU can help us with our mission to connect conservation with community. One of our most popular activities was a fairy house tour on the ACT Community Trails led by Board Member, Mom and volunteer, Sammy Mills.

Bill Huston (above) was awarded an Above & Beyond award. We appreciate you Bill and all you do for the trails!!

Joan Hull, Board Member presents the Volunteer of the Year Award to Bruce Read. Joan also presented and accepted on their behalf, the Community Heroes award to Sandy and Ed Nadeau.

Carmen Lessard was also a recipient of an Above & Beyond award! Thank you, Carmen!

Last year's runners had great things to say about this event. Many had never done a trail run before and were surprised to discover just how much fun it can be. This one is a flat, shady course that winds throughout the ACT Community Trails and the Eastern Trail. It has also been certified as a Youth Trail run. With the new playground, the Kids Bike Trail Race on our Flow Trail, there is a lot for the family to do while you run.
