Promote Health. Build Community. End HIV and AIDS.
Celebrating National
Volunteer Week
During National Volunteer Week, April 16 - 22, 2023, we celebrate ACT volunteers – the time, talent, and energy they share to strengthen the fabric of our community.
SNAP: back and better than ever!
After two years as an at-home event, we were thrilled to welcome you back to SNAP on Thursday March 23 to celebrate together in-person! Thank you to the 300+ attendees who helped us raise more than $300,000 for people living with HIV/AIDS in Toronto. Together we are working towards a Toronto with no new HIV infections.

This year's event featured not just a Live Auction but a brimming experience auction - the highest bidders took home prizes like a a group dinner at Canoe followed by an abstract painting session, and Jay's Tickets - plus we had a Positive Women of the World book pop-up, and the very popular 360-degree photo booth!

We are so grateful to all those who made the evening possible, including the artists, supporters, volunteers, staff and our presenting sponsor, the TD Ready Commitment. Your support keeps those living with HIV thriving, not just surviving.
A Spring Fling to remember!
Our Spring Fling party on March 23rd welcomed over 40 folks living with HIV into ACT’s space for a night of drag, fashion, games, dancing, and laughter. The event brought together members of ACT’s Positive Youth Outreach (PYO) and Gay Men’s Coffee Night programs, as well as friends from ACAS and Latinos Positivos. It was exciting to see folks make new connections and enjoy relaxing in a safe space.
Thank you to Como en Casa for catering a delicious meal, Lola Reyes and Arianna Bells for their fantastic drag performances, and the PYOers for DJing and strutting their stuff in the Spring Fling fashion show.
In case you missed it:
Community Health Forums
This year’s series of Community Health Forums incorporated an engaging range of topics, panelists, and presentation styles. Covering topics from Toronto’s Mpox outbreak to sex workers to the Get-a-Kit HIV testing program, ACT’s forums strive to meet community needs, offer valuable information, and shine light on fringe communities whose needs are under met.

While most presentations were offered online via Zoom webinar, some were held in person – an opportunity that has been missed by the ACT team and the service users who benefit from the personal touch of a live presentation. We can’t wait for the next series!
