Promote Health. Build Community. End HIV and AIDS.
Love Positive Women
Love Positive Women is a series of grassroots events happening globally to raise awareness about women living with HIV. Using Black History Month, Valentine’s Day and National Day of Action Honouring Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women & Girls as a backdrop – Love Positive Women celebrates acts of love and caring for women living with HIV.

1 in 4 positive diagnoses in Canada belong to women. The realities of HIV, both medical and social, are not well-known to the general public, and there are often harmful misconceptions. This is even more true for Positive women. Women living with HIV are often overlooked, underfunded, and neglected by our societal, social, and medical systems, which are steeped in sexism and racism.
The Women's Zone at ACT, pictured above, is a time for service users to come together and eat, socialize, and just be regular people free of stigma and judgement - the way it should be!
Show your love and support during Feb 1-14 as we celebrate Love Positive Women - but don't stop there! Positive women deserve love all year round!
Black History Month
At ACT, we work towards ensuring that our commitment to overcoming Anti-Black Racism does not simply begin and end during Black History Month. We uphold our responsibility to recognize and celebrate the role the Black community has played in uplifting our communities today. We aim to create equitable access to our programs and services at ACT, particularly for those who face more systemic barriers and stigma such as the Black community and women.
Follow us on social media as we share resources, and uplift Black organizations and creators during Black History Month.
Attend our first
Harm Reduction kit-making party!
ACT provides free harm reduction kits to anyone the community - kits containing supplies for safer sex and safer substance use.

For the first time ever, ACT is calling for help to put together these kits. Join us on Wednesday, February 8 at ACT's offices for pizza, refreshments and good vibes as we pack harm reduction kits!
Please note! Folks will only be asked to handle supplies that they feel comfortable handling. Supplies that will be handled are: bowl pipes for inhalation, stem pipes for inhalation, and capped sterile syringes. If handling any of these items causes you any distress, you are free to leave, or seek support at anytime.
