Informal
U.S. One Health Coalition
further forming during
One Health Awareness Month
Urgent Action Needed!
We hope you are participating in the One Health Awareness Month Campaign . https://tinyurl.com/twlfjn3

Note previous September 30, 2019 invitational message, https://conta.cc/2owEh90

Thank you to the organizations that have responded to be part of an informal coalition of U.S. One Health partners supporting S. 1903 and H.R. 3771, the Advancing Emergency Preparedness Through One Health Act of 2019 Bills. Under these Bills, HHS and USDA, in coordination with other specified agencies and departments, would develop, publish, and submit to Congress a national One Health Framework for coordinated Federal activities under a One Health Program.

See the growing list of coalition organizations (60+ so far), https://tinyurl.com/su6ucy3 . If you have already responded in the affirmative, please be sure that your organization is listed appropriately.

In October 2019, the adhoc group and coalition signees invited key lawmakers to attend a guided tour of the Smithsonian OUTBREAK Exhibit. A second exhibit tour is planned for February 20, 2020. See the Official Invitation and Cover Message that will again be delivered on behalf of the coalition. But before that, on January 30, 2020 two Lunch & Learn 'Briefings' are being held, one each for House and Senate lawmakers and staff, co-sponsored by the Veterinary Caucus and the Public Health Caucus in DC, to further educate about One Health. Educational handouts shared at these briefings will include the list of US One Health coalition partners.

Would your organization like to be listed as a member of this coalition in future communications about these Bills? Communications would be shared with you prior to sending.

If Yes, please provide the following information by reply email:

  • Organization Name as it should appear:
  • Organization Address:
  • Contact Name:
  • Contact Email:
  • Contact Phone Number:
  • Number of Members:

We realize that it may take your organization time to formally process this invitation, so new Coalition partners may join us at any time in the future.

Additionally, if your organization would like to develop and submit its own Position Statement, the S.1903 webpage in GovTrak has a place to submit Official Organization Position statements . https://tinyurl.com/wgx8fta

We hope to hear from you soon.

Sincerely,

Cheryl Stroud, DVM, PhD
