Successful Pro-Life Summit | PLI Underway!

HB 425 (Stop Coerced Abortion Act) and HB 575 (Justice for Victims of Abortion Drug Dealers Act) are important bills to continue Louisiana's pro-life legacy.

• HB 575 empowers citizens with the ability to file suit against abortion drug dealers who illegally provide abortion pills.
• HB 425 expands the prohibition against coerced abortion to include methods of coercion other than physical force.

In addition to our legislative work, our Pro-Life Summit in Baton Rouge was a huge success last weekend! Also, high school students are wrapping up at our summer youth program Pulse Leadership Institute. I spent the day with these amazing students yesterday at the Capitol. The future of the pro-life movement is bright!

At the Pro-Life Summit in Baton Rouge, Black Advocates for Life hosted a diaper drive giveaway and provided supplies to nearly 200 moms in need!

Tara Wicker, the Black Advocates for Life Director, told WBRZ that, "families need to know 'you're not alone.' You're surrounded by a support system that loves you, that values your life, that values the life of your baby. We're not just with you with words."

Dustin Bertrand testified with us earlier this week to stand for babies like him who are conceived in rape. Watch his interview with our Executive Director.
