Senate Bill 1 to go to Conference Committee

to get true Checks and Balances
back in Our Government!

Cleveland - On Wednesday afternoon, the Ohio Senate rejected the House-passed amendments to Senate Bill 1 by a unanimous vote.

Senate Bill 1 with its amendments, would curtail the overly-broad powers the Ohio Department of Health, Director, Dr. Amy Acton
has used to impact Ohio’s economy and elections during the novel coronavirus outbreak. Senate Bill 1 will now be sent to a Committee of Conference between the House and the Senate to iron out differences and report an agreed-upon version of the bill.
The Right to Life Action Coalition of Ohio published an analysis (which you can read here ) of claims that the amendments might negatively impact the ability of the Ohio Department of Health to bring sanctions against abortion facilities. We do not feel these claims were accurate, and want to encourage our elected officials
to focus on protecting Ohio citizens from the harms of unchecked power in the hands of a single un-elected appointee.
to respectfully request that
Senate Bill 1 and its Amendments
be Supported in the Conference Committee
and to Pass the measure quickly!
Let Your Elected Legislators know Pro-Life Ohioans support
true Checks and Balances in Our Government,
and understand this proposal
would not negatively impact Pro-Life efforts!
