TONIGHT!

Proposed Immigration Office Informational Meeting, October 19, 2023

1600 Star Avenue
Eau Claire, WI 54703 United States

7:00-9:00 p.m.

I have spoken to the local elected officials and no one seems to know where this is coming from. We believe this may have come from the Governor’s office. Once they open the office, they will resettle refugees up to 100 miles from Eau Claire, which is why you are getting this. On Thursday, 19 October at 7:00 pm we are holding an information meeting at the VFW Post 305, 1600 Star Ave in Eau Claire, WI. Ron Branstner who has been in this fight for over 20 years and Susan Tully of the Federation of American Immigration Reform will be speaking.

Several years ago, an initiative to resettle 150 Syrians was proposed, when the residents voiced their opposition, they decided not to settle them. The proposal calls for the resettlement of 75 refugees during 2024, but we do not know what that number looks like in the following years when they are up and fully operational. Then each refugee can bring in family members through the family reunification program otherwise known as chain migration.

Please get this out to your membership. I believe this is something all of us can agree on and unite around. if you plan on attending please send me an email [email protected]
