This week we are highlighting strategies for building robust, equitable health center workforces at the free 2021 Biennial Workforce Summit, effective DEI practices for FQHC recruitment and retention in our final PCA & HCCN Series webinar, and more.
Register Now for the Free Virtual 2021 Biennial Workforce Summit on May 26-27
Join health center, health center controlled network, and primary care association teams from across the U.S. at the 2021 Virtual Biennial Workforce Summit! Held by ACU's STAR² Center, Community Health, Inc., and the National Association of Community Health Centers, the free event will explore FQHC workforce challenges and needs during and after COVID-19; technology; and diversity, equity, and inclusion. BPHC's Jim Macrae, FORHP's Tom Morris, and BHW's Dr. Luis Padilla will kick off the event by sharing their vision for the health center workforce in the “new normal.”
Announcing Our Rescheduled 2021 Annual Conference: Oct. 31-Nov. 2
To ensure that our Conference meets the highest public health safety standards, ACU has now rescheduled our 2021 Conference, Mission: Health Equity to Oct. 31-Nov. 2. The event will take place in-person at the Mandarin Oriental in Washington, D.C., and will also feature a virtual attendance option. NHSC Loan Repayment Program Applications Are Open
HRSA's National Health Service Corps has opened applications for its Loan Repayment Program (LRP), Substance Use Disorder Workforce LRP, and Rural Community LRP. The NHSC received an additional $800 million in funds as part of American Rescue Plan, supporting the largest number of NHSC clinicians in the program's history. Applications for the programs and the NHSC's Scholarship Program are due Thursday, May 6.
