The Denver Foundation is pleased to invite qualified nonprofits to apply for funding from the Lowe Fund, a Field of Interest Fund. The mission of the Lowe Fund is to provide grants to nonprofits in Colorado that support training, education, and research into the causes, cures, and treatment of cerebral palsy, developmental disabilities, and other nervous and muscular diseases and disorders. Grant ranges between $10,000 – $50,000. The application opens February 3, 2025 and closes March 17, 2025.

The Denver Foundation's Strengthening Neighborhoods Program provides small grants to 1. hire a capacity-building “coach” or 2. support grassroots community development campaigns or projects, or organizing. Projects must make use of the strengths and assets that already exist in the community, such as neighborhood leaders’ skills or neighborhood institutions (like businesses, schools, churches, or parks). The application closes November 17, 2025.

The Glenn W. Bailey Foundation offers grants ranging from $20,000 to $35,000 on average to bolster STEM education and learning. There are no deadlines for submitting letters of inquiry or grant applications. The Foundation’s Board holds meetings at least monthly to review submitted information from the prior month.

The Wish You Well Foundation supports adult and family literacy in the United States by fostering the development and expansion of new and existing adult literacy and educational programs. The focus is on supporting nonprofit organizations that teach adults the literacy skills they need to communicate, grow, and thrive within their communities. There is no deadline to apply for funding.

The NBA Foundation is now accepting grant applications for 2024 on a rolling basis. The Foundation supports organizations operating in NBA markets in the U.S. and Canada that promote school-to-career employment opportunities, including job readiness, skill training, job placement, and career advancement, for Black youth ages 14 to 24.

The CommUNITY Partners Power Hour is a virtual networking event designed for nonprofit and community agencies. This is a unique opportunity to learn about the valuable resources available within our community.
Event Details:
- Frequency: Held on the 4th Tuesday of every other month, beginning February 25, 2025 (except December)
- Time: 3:30 p.m. - 4:30 p.m.
- Format: 3 presentations, 10 minutes each and a Q&A session
- Opportunity for introductions and networking

Guest Presenters Needed for the Young Adult Summer Job Hunt Boot Camp
The Arapahoe/Douglas Works! Future U Program is seeking guest presenters on the topics of workplace etiquette, self-advocacy, interviewing, budgeting, and professional appearance online and in-person.

Tina Castro is a Human Resource Manager at Concessions International (CI). CI is a private Black family-owned food and beverage operator.
Tina is a long-term member of the Arapahoe/Douglas Workforce Development Board. She also serves as co-chair for the Metro Denver Retail Sector Partnership (MDRP).
In February, MDRP hosted its annual conference for food and beverage, hospitality, and retail industries. The conference featured a panel of regional economic experts dedicated to helping businesses thrive in 2025.
