The conference activities begin on Friday, April 3 at noon and conclude with Sunday brunch at noon on April 5. We encourage you to book your flights home on Sunday after 2:00 pm. Please read our handy Know Before You Go page for airport, hotel, and ground transportation information for all things conference!
Keep your eyes peeled for our 8 week "Meet the Speakers" blog series starting on Monday, February 3rd! This series allows our conference attendees to get to know the conference speakers, honorees, and artists beforehand, and know what to expect!
Building on last year’s momentum, earlier this month, AFL-CIO, ADAO, and EIA presented a joint letter, signed by 14 stakeholders, to Speaker Pelosi and other Members of Congress, encouraging them to schedule the Alan Reinstein Ban Asbestos Now Act (ARBAN) for a House Floor consideration as soon as possible.
This February is all about cancer prevention and awareness at ADAO, in honor of Cancer Prevention Month. ADAO will be participating in World Cancer Day on February 4th by way of meetings and actions. On February 5, we will be speaking at Less Cancer’sNational Cancer Prevention Day Workshop.
We will be attending and speaking at the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) public meeting on testing methods for asbestos in talc and cosmetic products containing talc held on February 4. ADAO is also actively supporting multiple state and national cosmetic bills.
