Happy New Year!

It is hard to believe, but another year has begun. Thanks to you, last year was an incredibly successful year and ADAO looks forward to exceeding our 2020 goals.

As a leader in asbestos-disease prevention and policy here's what's happening.

Towards the end of 2019, ARBAN made great strides in the U.S. House of Representatives by clearing the Committee on Energy and Commerce with a record bipartisan vote of 47-1. The bill will move to the House floor soon, where we expect it to pass quickly, as we have strong, consistent, and bipartisan support from all stakeholders. ARBAN goes beyond stopping imports and use to a legacy asbestos structural study to mitigate and eliminate exposure. ARBAN is the most comprehensive ban asbestos bill Congress has ever seen.

Join us again on January 4th, as we light candles in love and support for Mesothelioma Warriors around the world. This year we will light over 1,000 candles in loving memory and support of Warriors.

Looking ahead, remember to save the date for our 16th annual Asbestos Awareness and Prevention Conference on April 3-5, 2020 in Washington, D.C.

ADAO is a small nonprofit and relies heavily on the generosity and support of our community. In 2019, we saw hundreds of donations both big and small, all of which helped us continue our legislative, legal, and educational efforts. We are indebted to each and every one of our sponsors and donors and look forward to your continued support in 2020.
