As we dive into summer, we reflect back on our recent work while also looking forward to what is to come.
First, we’d like to take a moment to rememberDr. Eula Bingham who we lost this month. Dr. Bingham was recognized world-wide as a leader in the fight for protecting the health and safety of the working people. During her 90 years, she championed the cause for occupational health and safety.
We are thrilled to announce that Record Store Day is now set for August 29! In honor of legendary musician Warren Zevon — who passed away from mesothelioma in 2003 — comedian, actor, writer and filmmaker Judd Apatow has curated his personal Warren Zevon “Greatest Hits” collection, a vinyl-only release for “Record Store Day.” Thanks to Jordan Zevon, ADAO National Spokesperson, a portion of the proceeds album proceeds will benefit ADAO.
Last but not least, Omaze is offering one lucky winner the chance to take a 7-day, 6-night trip to Hawaii and bring three guests! What could be better than that? The best part is, every donation supports ADAO’s education, prevention, and policy efforts aimed at banning the use of asbestos.
