The ADI Trainee Working Group is busy planning a special panel presentation relevant to all genders and career stages. The ADI TWG are pleased to welcome Canadian filmmaker Brandy Yanchyk to present her award-winning documentary Ms. Scientist .

Brandy will moderate a panel discussion with the UofA women scientists featured in the documentary which includes two ADI Members Carla Prado and Catherine Field .

This event will be held at ADI on Friday, April 26 , from 12-1 pm (more details to follow), in the meantime take a moment to watch Ms. Scientist .

ADI Director Peter Light hosted guest speaker Christine Doucette from the University of Manitoba who talked about type 2 diabetes and the role of single gene variant in pancreatic beta cells.
