With the attack on our Capitol and democracy, we’ve seen how close America has come to fascism after four years of Trump. And though we took the positive step of impeaching this president again, we are far from out of the woods.
You are the people doing something about it.
And because you have been doing something about it for four years, you brought us from having no power in the federal government to winning the House in 2018, the White House in 2020, and the Senate in 2021 – a Democratic trifecta.
We will get through these next six days. President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris will be sworn in. We have fought on the front lines to defend our democracy, and we have won our survival.
In this uncertain moment, be certain that we can continue to change things for the better. These are the darkest moments. We suspected they would be. But because of you, the light is coming.
Celebrate that however you can, whenever you can, and build a shrine in your heart to the good you have done. Honor that. Center yourself in that joyful truth.

ADOPT-A-TRAITOR!
Hours after the attempted coup, 147 Republicans voted to overturn an American election. We’ve found 3 million unregistered Democrats in their districts. Let’s make sure they lose their seats by a landslide.
To start, we are adopting three traitors representing battleground states whose districts are eminently flippable – one in NC, one in FL, and one in TX. We've already set up phone banks targeting them (sign up below!), and if you can help us raise the funds for it, we'd love to add text banks, targeted emails, and social media ads to the battle.
Adopt one of these traitors yourself, and help us raise the funds to unleash the full power of our digital organizing! In the coming days, we'll be posting a list of additional traitors up for adoption, always prioritizing the most flippable ones to make sure your work has maximum impact. Let us know which traitors you're most interested in flipping HERE, and if they're over our flippability threshold, and we have data for their districts, we'll start an Adopt-a-Traitor fundraising page for them.
And now, allow me to introduce our first three targets!
Meet North Carolina’s Richard Hudson, a Republican who voted to overturn an American election. In November, Richard won his district (NC-08) by 6.6 points, or 25,000 votes. We have 34,000 eligible voters to call in his district.
Let’s register every single one we can – and make sure he loses in a landslide.
In Florida, traitorous Republican congressman Carlos Gimenez won his district (FL-26) by 3.4 points, or 12,000 votes. We have 35,000 eligible voters to call in his district.
And in Texas, Beth Van Duyne (R) won her district (TX-24) by 1.3 points, or 4,584 votes. We have 23,000 eligible voters to call in her district.
Remember, in 2022 every single Democrat we've registered in Florida will also help us beat Governor Ron DeSantis and Senator Marco Rubio. In North Carolina, they'll help us beat Senator Richard Burr. In Texas, they'll help get rid of Governor Greg Abbott, and in 2024, Ted Cruz.

We’re looking for a supervolunteer to head up our new Adopt-a-Traitor campaign! The team lead will help run our ongoing effort to defeat members of the Seditious 147 at the polls by tracking volunteer interest in adopting certain traitors, then facilitating everything we need to get a separate campaign up and running for each traitor once interest hits a certain level.
