#CarFreeNYC TO BE ANNOUNCED TOMORROW BY EXTENSIVE CITYWIDE COALITION
Council Transportation Chair Ydanis Rodriguez to Lead Dozens of Groups in Announcing Car Free NYC Initiative, as Car Free Movement Comes to United States after Global Success in other Major Urban Centers
New York, NY--Tomorrow morning, NYC Council Transportation Chair Ydanis Rodriguez, in partnership with the City Council and Administration will unveil a new initiative for a #CarFreeNYC, following in the footsteps of other major cities like Paris. Efforts will be directed toward lowering car usage substantially on Earth Day of 2016.
Members of a broad coalition of citywide organizations and companies will present pledges in support of #CarFreeNYC, including organization-wide commitments not to drive; discounts on transportation related services; plans to hold educational forums and more.
