New York, NY--On Monday, March 24th at 9 AM, NYC Council Member Ydanis Rodriguez will join the family of Josbel Rivera in court as his killed's trial continues. Young college graduate Josbel Rivera was fatally struck by a car on a Christmas night in 2011 leaving his family devastated. His killer then set fire to his car to cover up his crime. 

Council Member Rodriguez will join the family in court in solidarity as well as to seek justice for his killer and for greater accountability in hit and run crimes. The man accused is currently on trial facing 4 felonies and 2 misdemeanors, yet the harshest of which do not pertain to his taking of human life and fleeing the scene.
