COUNCIL MEMBER YDANIS RODRIGUEZ TO DELIVER ANNUAL STATE OF NORTHERN MANHATTAN & MARBLE HILL ADDRESS

 

New York, NY - On Sunday, April 6th, Council Member Ydanis Rodriguez will deliver his annual State of Northern Manhattan and Marble Hill Address. The Council Member will detail his office's work over the past year, in addition to expanding on his vision for the future of Northern Manhattan and Marble Hill previewed in last year's speech. Council Member Rodriguez will highlight new projects that promise to make Northern Manhattan and Marble Hill a more sustainable and vibrant community.

 

Guest Speaker, Dr. Feniosky Pe�a-Mora, former Dean and current Professor of Columbia University's Fu Foundation School of Engineering, present the Year 2030 plan for the development of Northern Manhattan & Marble Hill. The plan lays out a community strategy for a sustainable future in the district encompassing the areas of housing, the economy, education, infrastructure, public space and water fronts, health and wellness.

 

The community plan is the collective vision of Northern Manhattan and Marble Hill's elected officials: State Senator Adriano Espaillat, Assembly Woman Gabriela Rosa, and Council Member Ydanis Rodriguez; community organizations: Community Board 12, the Washington Heights Business Improvement District, the Northern Manhattan Improvement Corporation, Community League of the Heights; and Columbia University's Fu Foundation School of Engineering.
