   UPTOWN ELECTED OFFICIALS CALL ON ONE OF THE CITY'S WORST LANDLORDS TO RESTORE HEAT AND HOT WATER SERVICE DURING SEVERELY COLD WEATHER

New York, NY - TOMORROW Sunday, February 4, 2018 at 1:00PM, Council Member Ydanis Rodriguez will join NYS Assemblywoman Carmen De La Rosa, NYS Senator Marisol Alcantara, and Elected Officials in front of 3852 10th Avenue in Inwood, to call on the landlord to restore services to the tenants who had been living without heat and hot water for months, while highlighting the specific conditions that have troubled residents in this Inwood building for years.
 
Last year, Residents in 3852 10th Avenue were rushed to the hospital, after breathing in dangerous carbon monoxide due to a boiler leak. The building has over 300 violations and residents have complained of severe rodent infestations with no support from their landlord to make needed fixes. However, after several months without heat and hot water in this cold weather and more than 20 complaints to 311, the tenants are desperate and are crying for help from the City.
