New York, NY - On Monday, May 23 ^rd, 2016, Council Member Rodriguez will host a town hall meeting to discuss the proposed project at 4650 Broadway, also known as Sherman Plaza. The town hall meeting will be co-sponsored by Manhattan Borough President Gale Brewer and Manhattan Community Board 12. It will be held at the YM&YWHA of Washington Heights and Inwood, 54 Nagle Avenue, around the corner from the proposed development site.

As previously reported, this is the first project to enter the Universal Land Use Review Procedure under the recently changed zoning codes, also known as Mandatory Inclusionary Housing and Zoning for Quality and Affordability.

Over the past several weeks many organizations and community residents have issued a high level of interest in the project and what it could mean for the surrounding areas. This will be an opportunity to weigh in and address these concerns before the relevant public officials before the City Planning Commission public hearing on Wednesday.
