#RentReliefNow: LMM Needs Your Help

The U.S. House of Representatives is expected to vote this week - as early as today - on a package of emergency housing resources and protections to help keep renters in their homes and to address the health and safety of people experiencing homelessness.

H.R. 7301, the "Emergency Housing Protections and Relief Act of 2020" includes $100 billion in emergency rental assistance; a national, uniform moratorium on evictions and foreclosures; $11.5 billion of Emergency Solutions Grants for homelessness assistance and $1 billion in vouchers for people experiencing  homelessness  or at risk of losing their housing. Similar provisions were included in the House-passed HEROES Act.

As rent is due this week for millions of Americans, is critical that Congress take action to keep people in their homes and promote the health and safety of people experiencing homelessness. Contact your representatives and senators today and urge them to vote to approve H.R. 7301.  Find the phone numbers of your members of Congress  here  or  send an email ! You can also tweet at them using the hashtag #RentReliefNow!
