March 2019 News and Events
Dear A.E. Wright Community,

We have a lot of excitement coming this spring, and we hope you'll want to be a part of it! We are gearing up for our all-new Book Fair — new vendor, new materials, new attitude! And as always, we need LOTS of volunteers.

The A.E. Wright PTSA is also continuing to fill its slate of officers for next year's Board of Directors. If you are are interested or would like to recommend someone, please reach out to  aewptsa@gmail.com . Our next General Association Meeting of the PTSA will be 7 p.m. Wednesday, April 10 in the Drama Room. Elections for the slate will take place that evening.

We thank you all, as always, for your support!

Warmly,

Sharon Stepenosky
President, AEW PTSA

WORTH AVENUE GROUP - ACER INSURANCE INFORMATION
The Media Center has seen an uptick in damage to Acers and is sharing this information about Acer insurance with parents as an option to prevent paying for costly repairs:

Each student will either bring their own device or check out an Acer from the media center. Like textbooks or any other instructional materials, the District expects students to take responsible care of their device and, in the case of school-owned devices, return it to LVUSD in good condition and in working order. For any device that is lost, stolen, broken or otherwise damaged, the District will accept no liability and will charge for repair costs as outlined in the Student Device Agreement.

As an option to protect against unexpected damage or loss, the District has partnered with Worth Avenue Group to provide a low-cost insurance solution for either personal or District-owned devices. This insurance covers the following:
  • Accidental Damage
  • Cracked Screens
  • Liquid Submersion
  • Theft
  • Vandalism
  • Fire/Flood
  • Natural Disasters
  • Power Surge by Lightning

This coverage is fully transferable, so if a student checks out a different District-owned device in a future year or a device is purchased after coverage has been obtained for a District-owned device, the policy can be transferred to the new device's serial number.Coverage can be purchased at Worth Avenue Group's LVUSD Insurance Portal. The cost of one full year of coverage with no deductible is $45.10.

Please contact Mrs. Ammon with any questions.
