Christmas Eve: Even if carriers are technically open, meaningful progress is rare. Avoid scheduling funding, deliveries, or time-sensitive client actions around this date.

The Quiet Crunch This short window often produces last-minute decisions as clients become more available and focused. With preparation, many policies are funded and placed during these days.

Year-End Cutoff – Premiums must be received and policies issued by December 31 to count for the current year. Miss this date, and the opportunity shifts entirely into the next calendar year.

Estate, Gifting & Planning Deadlines – Life insurance tied to estate planning, gifting strategies, or trust funding must be completed by year-end to apply to that tax year. After December 31, those planning advantages reset.

RMD-Driven Conversations – Required Minimum Distributions must be taken by December 31, often creating legacy and protection planning discussions. These moments open natural conversations around life insurance as a long-term solution.
