As part of its new lecture series, AFA will be holding a free “Alzheimer’s disease from A to Z” educational program on October 3
at Gurwin Jewish-Fay J. Lindner Residences, 50 Hauppauge Road in Commack, NY. Registration and breakfast will begin at 8:30 am, with the program following from 9:30 am to 11:30 am.
The program, which is open to everyone, will provide information about the signs and symptoms of Alzheimer's disease, teach participants how they can communicate concerns and offer practical tips about preparing a road map for care. Free, confidential memory screenings will also be offered.
Continuing education is available for licensed social workers through the program.
