Volunteer Department Updates
Recently, Jocalyn celebrated her last day here at AFAC. As a Volunteer Coordinator for the past 4.5 years, she helped recruit, train, manage, and engage thousands of volunteers to help us feed our neighbors in need. We will miss her dearly and wish her the best in her future endeavors!
Volunteer Couples & Valentine's Day
The secret to long-lasting relationships is finding activities that you both enjoy. Click here to see our Valentine's Day post featuring volunteers who serve together at AFAC on a regular basis!
Staff Promotion
Volunteers, watch out! There's a new manager on the block.

Congratulations to Kim Roehl on her promotion to Volunteer Manager. Kim has been with us for 3 years now and is instrumental in making sure our daytime distribution at the Nelson St location goes without a hitch. We look forward to all the great things Kim will accomplish in her new position.

We received over 300 winter care kits, which were distributed to our home delivery clients (extras were given out at food distributions). Special thanks to Stephanie Hopkins, Arlington County's Food Security Coordinator for leading an engaging presentation on hunger and food insecurity in Arlington!

Thank you to students from Jamestown Elementary School for creating special Valentine's Day food kits, filled with cooking oil, flour, sugar, other baking needs, and more! What a very thoughtful gift for our families in need!
