Arts & Cultural Community Applaud Governor Patrick

Governor Patrick announced his allocation of $15 million to the Cultural Facilities Fund to repair and rebuild the Commonwealth's cultural venues on November 12.

This triples the annual allocation that the governor historically gives to this the program. To date, the Fund has made $54.8 million in grants to 269 arts and cultural organizations. The impact was made by a four-month advocacy campaign led by MASSCreative. This campaign involved over 1,200 individuals across Massachusetts including 200 arts and cultural institutions, mayors, and chambers of commerce. It is clear that the creative community made an impact on the governor's decision by telling stories of impact, boldly asking for a significant increase in funding, and pulling together the community to take action. Thank you for raising your voice & thank you Governor Patrick, for recognizing the value of the state's cultural treasures and how they contribute to the creative economy.

To show your community's support, please send Governor Patrick a thank you note for his investment in the arts, cultural, and creative community. For more information & to read more visit: www.mass-creative.org
