Submit Your Proposals for
Oral Presentations and Fire Circles by August 1

We have just a few days left until proposals for oral presentations and fire circles are due on Tuesday, August 1. Proposals for poster presentations and attached meetings will be accepted until September 15.
Interactive Fire Circles are discussion sessions and/or working groups focused on advancing our understanding of fire ecology and management. Depending on your purpose, fire circles can be
  1. Roundtable discussions,
  2. Small groups assembling position papers, white papers, policy pieces, management guidelines, collaborative peer-reviewed papers, and/or
  3. Other efforts to explore or synthesize existing data, discuss ideas, present scenarios, or lead role-playing exercises.

This is a great opportunity to communicate and interact with your colleagues, and we encourage you to consider what topics are most important in your region or field of expertise, and submit a proposal!
Topics for presentations include, but are not limited to:
  • 20/20 Vision: Looking Back, Looking Forward
  • Fire Ecology & Effects
  • Fire Management and Use
  • Fire Modeling
