AZ TUITION WAIVER / ETV APPLICATION

NOW OPEN

Arizona Tuition Waiver: Students who are U.S. citizens or eligible non-citizens who were in DCS or tribal foster care at age 14 or older who are pursuing post-secondary education.

  • Waives tuition and mandatory fees at public Arizona institutions if a balance remains after the Pell grant and institutional aid have been applied.

  • Most frequently waives tuition at ASU, NAU, and UA since community college tuition is typically fully covered by the Pell grant.

  • The Arizona Tuition Waiver does not waive the cost of room and board (housing and meal plan costs).

  • Apply by completing an ETV application (even if student did not reach age 16 in foster care and will not be eligible for ETV, the student still needs to complete an ETV application to be eligible for the Arizona Tuition Wavier).

ETV Funds: For students (who are U.S. citizens or eligible non-citizens) who were in DCS or tribal foster care at age 16 or older who are pursuing post-secondary education.

  • Students can apply for ETV funds for both certificate programs (ex: medical assisting, dental assisting, cosmetology, automotive, etc.) and for degree-seeking programs.

  • ETV is now being administered by a new organization, Foster Success Education Services. With that change, the ETV application is open earlier, so students starting programs this summer and fall can start applying now!
