Congratulations to all 5 Amador concert bands on earning Unanimous Superior Ratings at CMEA Festival on May 1. We are so proud of this achievement from our outstanding musicians. Bandcake Breakfast is this weekend. Please come on down and support our final performances of the year for many of our students and enjoy some of the best pancakes in town!

President's Note

Do you have bookkeeping or accounting experience? Do you like working with kids and travel? We are looking for a treasurer and an overnight RA.

AFM leadership is a great way to meet people, contribute to a music program that is world class, and have the opportunity to grow and strengthen skills.

Fundraising and Volunteering Opportunities

Bandcake Breakfast Saturday, May 16th

Get your appetites ready! Our favorite tradition is back—the Annual Bandcake Breakfast is officially happening this Saturday, May 16th, 2026.

Get ready for a morning of great food, community, and support for our band. But you don't have to wait until then to join in on the action:

• Auction: Continue bidding on auction items online HERE. Auction ends May 16th, 6pm.

• What to expect: Delicious pancakes, live music previews, raffles and incredible auction items you won't want to miss.

• Fund A Need: Help us replace our sound system and update marching brass instruments HERE.

🎶 Volunteers Needed – Join the AFM Team!

The Amador Friends of Music (AFM) community plays a vital role in supporting the incredible range of music programs at our school — including choir, orchestra, wind ensembles, marching band, color guard, winter guard, winter percussion, and jazz ensembles.

Behind every performance, competition, and unforgettable student experience is a team of dedicated parent volunteers who make it all possible. Volunteering with AFM is a great way to support our talented students, connect with other music families, and help our programs thrive. Come join the team, build lasting friendships, and create memories you’ll cherish for years to come!

We are currently looking to fill several Board and Committee positions, including Treasurer, Overnight RAs, Bandcake Co-Chair, Campana Chair and Campana Scholarship Lead. Many roles can be co-chaired or shared and support is always available - you won’t be doing it alone and we’re happy to answer any questions about responsibilities or time commitment.

Volunteer opportunities at the Alameda County Fair are now open!

By volunteering at the fair, you’ll receive free admission and help earn funds for Amador Friends of Music (AFM)—a great way to give back while having fun!
