For Amador is our name,

Mr. Grantham & Mr. Fell

Congratulations Mr. Fell

Congratulations to our own Mr. Fell, winner of the 2026 PUSD Excellence in Education award! This award honors educators who have made a difference in the lives of students and families within Pleasanton Unified School District.

Last night Mr. Fell missed the official award ceremony in order to be at the AVHS Spring Concert, just one of a zillion examples of his dedication to Amador's music program and students. Thanks for always going above and beyond, Mr. Fell!

Spring 2027

Band & Orchestra Trip

Every 4 years concert band & orchestra go on a spring trip. For 2027, we will be going to Hawaii to participate in the 42nd Annual Pacific Music Basin.

Here is the slide deck that was shared with students. Band and orchestra students (in all grades) are eligible to join the tour.

An informational meeting will be held on Wednesday March 6 at 7:00 pm in the AVHS Band Room. While the trip is not mandatory, it is the only big trip we are taking for the next four years and we don't want anyone to miss out on the opportunity.

🎶 Volunteers Needed – Join the AFM Team!

The Amador Friends of Music (AFM) community plays a vital role in supporting the incredible range of music programs at our school — including choir, orchestra, wind ensembles, marching band, color guard, winter guard, winter percussion, and jazz ensembles.

Behind every performance, competition, and unforgettable student experience is a team of dedicated parent volunteers who make it all possible. Volunteering with AFM is a great way to support our talented students, connect with other music families, and help our programs thrive. Come join the team, build lasting friendships, and create memories you’ll cherish for years to come!

We are currently looking to fill several Board and Committee positions, including Treasurer, VP of Communications, Snack Team, Overnight RAs, Uniform Committee Lead, Campana Chair and Campana Scholarship Lead. Many roles can be co-chaired or shared and support is always available - you won’t be doing it alone and we’re happy to answer any questions about responsibilities or time commitment.

Please reach out to Shreyasi Sharma at vicepresident@amadormusic.org for more information.
