Director's Report

The final two weeks of the season are on us and we are excited to see our Marching Dons finish strong. WBA Regionals are this weekend at James Logan High School. We host Friends & Family at Amador Valley on Thursday November 20. This free community event features the bands from AVHS, Foothill, Dublin and Emerald High. This is a non-competitive performance where we come together to support the awesome marching bands in the Tri-Valley. Show starts at 7:00 pm! Also, WBA State Marching Championships are 11/22-11/23. We will be able to release a full itinerary after regionals as that is when we will have our performance time confirmed. It's a great day to be a Don!

For Amador is our name,

AFM President's Report

We are finishing up Marching band season and while the past 3 months have been busy and exciting, we are turning our eyes forward to the upcoming concerts, band and strings performances, choir and the Hometown Holiday Parade.

We are so grateful to our parent community for the generosity you have shown in support of our music program. So many of you have volunteered your time, money and resources to help make us a success. If you haven’t yet made a contribution to the music program, we hope that you will consider doing so. Every gift, no matter the size, plays a vital role in helping us fund equipment, instruments, clinicians and event transportation, and so much more.

There are many ways to contribute. Monthly donations, semi-annually, matching gift programs through employers are all great options and your donation is tax deductible. Click here for more information.

Together, we can foster the joy of making music and ensure our students have the resources they need to succeed. Thank you for your continued support and generosity!

Ann Danen, AFM President

Corporate Matching Program

Did you know that many companies will match donations their employees make?

This means if you give a donation to the band, your company might give the same amount, doubling your support!💜💛

Not sure if your company offers this? You can check using this link.

It’s an easy way to make your gift go even further. Thank you for supporting the band!

Shout-Out to Our Amazing Grubmasters!

A big round of applause to our very own Grub team for catering a delicious Italian meal spread for the Berkeley Youth Symphony last week.

From the perfectly seasoned pasta to the freshly baked brownies, every dish was made with care and community spirit. The dessert spread was loved by all.

A heartfelt thank you to our dedicated alumni parents whose hard work helped earn donations that will go towards much-needed trailer maintenance — keeping our operations rolling smoothly!

We’re so proud of our Grubmasters for their teamwork, generosity, and commitment to making every event a success!

Cheering Squad

We’d like to do something special for our kids as they leave for State Championships on Saturday, November 22

Imagine: As the loaded buses pull away from Amador, there is a crowd of parents and families on the sidewalk cheering them on, waving signs, making noise and showing how proud we are of all of them! Would you like to be a part of this? Simply park your car when you drop off your kids on Saturday, November 22 and gather with us along Main Street. Bring signs, noisemakers, cheering voices and show the kids how proud we are their accomplishments this season!

Calling all current and alumni band parents!

Do you love hearing the band marching in on football days? Let's march with them in the annual holiday parade and show our love for them and Pleasanton. We will be behind the band who are going to be second in line this year!

If you would like to join and are available on Dec 6th, please indicate interest along with the count of participants by filling out this form. We need to give an approximate count to the organizers so they can allocate enough space. Responses need to be in by Nov 20th.

Calling all beer pourers!

December sign ups are still out! These are the last few home games of the season unless the Niners make the play offs.  If you are looking for ways to help lower your donation ask, beer pouring is a great option. We have a fun group of parents and enjoy making money to benefit AFM!
