Director's Report

Thank you to the students, staff and all of the parents for a great weekend at the Bands of America Regional! The Marching Dons competed against the top programs in the West Coast and finished 11th out of 22 to make finals and then advanced two positions to place 9th in the evening round. We are so proud of the growth, maturity and excellence that our students displayed while traveling. Looking forward to a sprint to the finish these last two weeks with WBA Regionals at James Logan HS, Friends & Family at AVHS and WBA Champs in Clovis.

Volunteer Opportunities

Calling all current and alumni band parents!

Do you love hearing the band marching in on football days? Let's march with them in the annual holiday parade and show our love for them and Pleasanton. We will be behind the band who are going to be second in line this year!

If you would like to join and are available on Dec 6th, please indicate interest along with the count of participants. We need to give an approximate count to the organizers so they can allocate enough space. Responses need to be in by Nov 20th.

Day Time RA!

Calling all RAs! The Friends and Family Event at Amador Valley High School needs your help - 7 slots are open! Also, we still have a few Competiton RA slots open (1 for Logan and 1 for Clovis)! Please check the sign up.

These volunteer positions give you the unique opportunity to experience competitions with your child(ren) - on the bus, for warm ups, possibly even during the competiton!

Thank You Overnight RA!



A huge THANK YOU to the overnight RAs!!! We seriously could not have done it without all of your care for each student. You made it such a fun experience and I am grateful to be among such thoughtful parents, from taking care of those not feeling 100% to reminding to sleep and eat and bring the necessary items to keep them successful for the day. Thank you all again and I look forward to Champs!! Susan 

RWs moving strong to wrap up the season

You might have heard we had some excitement amongst the RWs during the trip to BOA at Etiwanda. Our amazing volunteers had to change tires for the 26-ft trailer, not once but twice during the trip! Thanks to their quick actions, the band's performance was not delayed. Here is a picture of them doing it with a smile:

Tradition has it that the Friends and Family show is to celebrate the graduating seniors, and that includes the volunteer parents as well. We highly encourage the underclassmen parents to sign up and volunteer for the Friends and Family Show so that the graduating seniors' parents can sit with the audience to enjoy the show!

A huge thank you to all our shoppers, drivers, packers, and the amazing Grub cooking crew for helping us serve six meals at BOA — we couldn’t have done it without you!

Special thanks to Domino’s Pizza and Magic Wok for providing fresh food for the Big Purple Band, and to all the parent volunteers who served and cleaned up — your teamwork kept everything running smoothly.

The Gatorade donations were a big hit on such a hot day, and we’re so grateful to all the RWs and RAs who stepped up wherever needed.

Your dedication, energy, and team spirit made it all possible.
