Director's Report

The Marching Dons had a spectacular debut at Friday's game. Thank you to the overwhelming number of parents who volunteered to help out. Many hands make light work and we were thankful to have the help! Our first competition is just a month away so stay tuned for more information on that as we get closer. The show will be done by next week (in record time!) and we can't wait to share all of Bonjour, Bonjour with you.

Congratulations to the wind ensembles and Jazz 1 on a wonderful fall concert last night and thanks to all who attended!

For Amador is our name,

The first football game was a big success for The Marching Dons. Thank you to the large number of parent volunteers who showed up to help out! This weekend our drill writer and choreographer Peter Bates will be with the band on Friday and Saturday helping our show to evolve and improve. Believe it or not we are just a month away from our first competition. Go Dons!

DO YOU OWN A HEAVY DUTY PICKUP TRUCK?

The Marching Band has a 26-ft trailer that we would like to use for moving equipment for competitions, like the beautiful grand piano! That will save the band a lot of money.

Do you have such a truck and are willing to volunteer to tow the trailer for competitions? Or are you ready to volunteer to drive moving trucks for competitions? Please contact roadwarriros@amadormusic.org.

We need volunteers to provide water for the band at competitions!

Hello Amador Marching Band and Color Guard parents! Competitions are starting in October, and it is very important for our kids to stay hydrated. This is where we can use your help! We need parents to clean and fill water bottles for each competition. For this job, you do NOT need any volunteer clearance! This is a great way to help out the band and color guard without having to go through the clearance process. Please check out the sign up genius below and see if you can help out. Thanks!

Calling all beer pourers!

October is nearly here and there is one Sunday night Prime time game! If you are looking for ways to help lower your donation ask, beer pouring is a great option.

We have a fun group of parents and enjoy making money to benefit AFM! November and December months will come and go pretty quickly so contact Susan Bowen at funbpour@gmail.com to get more details!
