Coming soon: AFMRD Salary Survey
coming_soon_stamp.jpg
The AFMRD will soon be asking members to complete a salary survey. This survey obtains data that will provide a snapshot of the current compensation within family medicine residency programs across the nation. The results of this survey are available at no cost to AFMRD members.

This year, the AFMRD is partnering with the Association of Family Medicine Administration (AFMA) to obtain salary information for coordinators. A worksheet will be available to help collect all the necessary data before beginning the survey.
Check out the latest Annals of Family Medicine article, "Single Accreditation...A Much Longer Process," from AFMRD board members Jennifer W. Swoyer , DO and  Deborah S. Clements , MD, FAAFP.

Now physicians can LISTEN to AAFP
 journal content
To make physicians’ busy lifestyles a little easier, the American Academy of Family Physicians is offering select clinical and practice management journal content in a convenient audio format. A new audiobook titled "Communicating Effectively With Your Patients" delivers 75 minutes of content from the journal FPM and includes topics such as managing patient lists and learning how to give bad news.

A second audio option is "Journal Audio," a collection of four audio recordings featuring content from the August issues of the American Family Physician . The first two topics are management of chronic tendon injuries and editorials on metformin use. Samples of both products are available online. New physicians, residents and students receive a discounted price on these products.
