Let's Celebrate

Our Alliance met on January 11 to celebrate the New Year. We reflected on accomplishments from 2021 and hopes for 2022. We are very thankful for the creative, collaborative leadership that has helped local age-friendly efforts thrive and build momentum towards sustainability. Here are the motivating words we shared:

Age-Friendly Networks Create Ties That Bind,

In Times of Crisis or Calm

A crisis can bring a community together.

But just how well?

The answer, age-friendly community leaders have learned, can depend on whether a town’s partnerships were loosely created only after the emergency alert was sounded, or whether they had been established in less-turbulent times.
