Welcome to the Age-Friendly North Jersey Newsletter
We are excited to share our first newsletter from Age-Friendly North Jersey! Geared toward local age-friendly leaders, this newsletter shares announcements, resources, highlights from local age-friendly community initiatives, and other timely information.
This newsletter is made possible by support from The Henry and Marilyn Taub Foundation, the Grotta Fund for Senior Care, and the Rutgers University School of Social Work.
Upcoming AFNJ Zoom Meetings
New Leaders, New Communities
Our "New Leaders, New Communities" group will meet on Wednesday, December 8, from 9:30-11:30 am. This group is for individuals who started their work as age-friendly leaders in 2019 or later.
All-Alliance
New Years Party
Our whole alliance will convene on Tuesday, January 11, from 9:30-11:30 am for a New Years Party. Get ready to reflect on the past year and share some inspiration for 2022!

September 23: County Collaborations
Our Alliance met on September 23, 2021 to learn about county-level coalitions of age-friendly leaders. We had speakers from Essex and Bergen Counties. Missed the meeting or want a refresher? You can view our panel discussion video here!
Spotlight on Westwood Thrive
Westwood For All Ages Hosts Communitywide, Interactive Event

Oct. 9, 2021: More than 20 local agencies and businesses connected with local residents on a sunny day in Veterans Memorial Park. Attendees also enjoyed engaging speakers, recreation, and entertainment from a popular local band and dance troupe.
