2023 marks the 30th anniversary of our chapter – a truly significant milestone – that wouldn’t be possible without our amazing membership, so thank YOU!
For the last 30 years, AFP VI has been dedicated to promoting and advancing ethical and effective fundraising across Vancouver Island. This has been done through programs and services focused on professional development, networking opportunities, and recognition of outstanding achievements in the
fundraising profession.
AFP VI has played a vital role in the non-profit sector by providing education, support, and resources to fundraisers, volunteers, and organizations. Members have raised millions of dollars for a multitude of causes, making a real and lasting impact in our communities.
In 2023, your AFP VI Board will be focused on the four following goals:
- Promote inclusion, diversity, equity, and access (IDEA)
- Provide relevant and high-quality education about the fundraising profession in Canada
- Increase capacity and strengthen community
- Champion ethical fundraising practices
While we reflect on the past and acknowledge the incredible accomplishments and contributions of all our members, we will continue to grow, evolve, and build a sector we can be proud of.
