Last week, a memo sent to President-elect Biden’s transition team by The Charity Reform Initiative was covered by the Wall Street Journal. The headline was “Make Foundations Spend?” The article went on to explain our proposal to unlock “around $200 billion for struggling charities, without the use of taxpayer funds.” The memo urged the Biden team to include this proposal in its First 100 Days agenda. They are hoping to grow support for this effort by getting more people to sign the petition.

AFP Global has launched two similar but distinct mentoring programs: the IDEA Impact: Alford Group Woman's Mentoring and Leadership Development Program was created to provide support and guidance to women in the profession and to help develop their leadership skills. And the Emerging Leaders Mentor Program is committed to providing emerging leaders and young professionals with the resources needed to be successful, creating a more diverse and equitable profession for all.

These courses are learning opportunities designed to develop skills, practices, and behaviors which best prepare people working in the social sector for success. Finance, Fundraising, and Nonprofit Start-up are the main topics the Nonprofit Skills Academy offers.
