CHAIR'S WORKING GROUP REGISTRATION
Thank you to all the public and private representatives who joined our second working group call. We had representatives from 10 states along with several companies of whom were all able to share insights and thought leadership on the challenges we are all facing related to COVID-19 vaccinations and rollout plans.

Specifically, we focused on challenges states face in deciding who can receive vaccines, and were joined on the call by Mike Gruber, Vice President of Regulatory and Government Affairs for the Consumer Brands Association. Mike discussed how some of the different approaches governments – federal, state and local – have taken has generated confusion. In turn, we discussed how different definitions and classification of person approved for vaccination are creating challenges, both legal and practical, for businesses and individuals alike. The working group also discussed prioritizing specific populations, raising concerns of how the government can best decide on vaccine order for the elderly, racial minorities, health care workers, inmates, and the homeless. Clear challenges remain for governments as they continue to distribute limited supplies of the vaccine.

Please download the current working copy of our Chair’s Initiative policy outline.  This outline presents a compilation of thought leadership related to the rollout of the COVID-19 vaccines and will remain a working document for everyone. We encourage feedback and participation moving forward!

Join us on Wednesday, February 24th at 11am PST for another conversation on issues related to the COVID-19 vaccine. Additional information for that call will be provided to registrants via email. If there is a subject you want to raise for discussion, please feel free to contact David Blake, AGA General Counsel at 202/255-9668 or via email david.blake@agalliance.org
