AGs IN THE NEWS
Montana Attorney General Austin Knudsen warned that scammers are attempting to trick Montanans into giving out their personal information, including social security numbers and bank account information, by offering fake remote work opportunities.
Delaware Attorney General Kathleen Jennings announced that the Department of Justice has filed a lawsuit related to per- and poly-fluoroalkyl substances (PFAS). The lawsuit results from a detailed investigation conducted over a two-year period, including environmental sampling and forensic analysis as well as review of corporate records
Ohio Attorney General Dave Yost announced a 33-year-old Columbus woman, who allegedly met men for sex and drugged them so she could rob them, has been indicted in four murders.
Washington Attorney General Bob Ferguson announced he won a court order to shut down the websites and suspend the internet domains of two businesses and their owner that sent hundreds of thousands of deceptive texts and emails targeting Washington businesses and nonprofits.
New York Attorney General Letitia James announced the guilty pleas and sentencings of nine individuals and corporations for operating a two decades-long bid-rigging scheme.
New York Attorney General Letitia James announced two settlements totaling $328 million with rideshare companies.
Oklahoma Attorney General Gentner Drummond announced an Oklahoma contractor was charged with nine counts of felony embezzlement and a pattern of criminal offenses after an investigation by the Attorney General’s Consumer Protection Unit.
Colorado Attorney General Phil Weiser announced that the Colorado Department of Law granted approximately $3 million in funding to programs addressing domestic violence across the state. Ten organizations received funding for their work on domestic violence prevention, victim advocacy services, and crisis intervention.
New Jersey Attorney General Matthew Platkin announced a Consent Order and Decree resolving a complaint alleging that Mercer County Community College discriminated against an employee who contracted COVID-19 by firing the employee rather than extending his medical leave or allowing him to work remotely.
South Dakota Attorney General Marty Jackley announced that a Pierre man was convicted Thursday by a Hughes County jury for assaulting and threatening correctional officers at the Hughes County Jail.
Vermont Attorney General Charity Clark announced that two individuals were each arraigned on charges stemming from the care they provided to a vulnerable adult receiving Medicaid-funded services.
Minnesota Attorney General Keith Ellison announced his office has filed a federal lawsuit against individuals that control several online lenders.
 COMBATING HUMAN TRAFFICKING AND CHILD EXPLOITATION 
South Carolina Attorney General Alan Wilson announced several actions related to combating child exploitation.
Illinois Attorney General Kwame Raoul announced several actions related to combating child exploitation.
Indiana Attorney General Todd Rokita warned Hoosiers that child identity theft is on the rise. "1.3 million children have their identities stolen every year. This crime occurs when a hacker steals a child’s personal information and uses it to receive services or benefits." 
Attorney General Peter Neronha announced that a Providence man has been sentenced in Providence County Superior Court to serve 14 years at the Adult Correctional Institution (ACI) after pleading to sexually assaulting a juvenile female victim in 2022.
Attorney General Raúl Labrador announced investigators with his Idaho Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Unit arrested an Ammon man on Monday, October 30, for alleged sexual exploitation of a child.
Guam Attorney General Douglas Moylan announced the guilty verdict of an individual in a felony sex crime trial involving a victim who is a minor.
Arkansas Attorney General Tim Griffin announced the arrest of an individual on 30 counts of distributing, possessing, or viewing of matter depicting sexually explicit conduct involving a child.
Georgia Attorney General Chris Carr announced the arrest of two individuals on charges of Trafficking of Persons for Sexual Servitude.
CYBERSECURITY AND DATA PRIVACY 
California Attorney General Rob Bonta issued two legal bulletins to California state and local law enforcement agencies providing guidance and model policies regarding the use of data collected or accessed through an Automated License Plate Recognition system. Attorney General Bonta reminded agencies of their obligation to ensure that the storage, collection, sharing, and use of this information is consistent with California law.
Connecticut Attorney General William Tong issued an inquiry letter to genetic testing and ancestry company 23andMe, Inc. seeking details of a data breach that reportedly exposed sensitive records for over five million users, including specifically those of Ashkenazi Jewish and Chinese heritage.
ORGANIZED RETAIL CRIME
Ohio Attorney General Dave Yost is working with stakeholders in an effort to combat rising losses from organized retail crime in Ohio. The FORCE Act (Fight Organized Retail Crime and Empower Law Enforcement) will soon be introduced by several Ohio State Senators.
ILLICIT DRUGS AND OPIOIDS
New Hampshire Attorney General John Formella announced that an individual has pled guilty to three counts of sale of a controlled drug (subsequent offense) and one count of possession of a controlled drug with the intent to sell (subsequent offense), and was sentenced by the Carroll County Superior Court.
Pennsylvania Attorney General Michelle Henry announced that a collaboration with Pennsylvania State Police and the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration led to arrests of two men trafficking 50,000 fake oxycodone pills — which were actually pure fentanyl.
IMMIGRATION
California Attorney General Rob Bonta and New York Attorney General Letitia James are co-leading a coalition of 17 attorneys general in filing an amicus brief in Texas v Mayorkas regarding “public charge” regulations.
DEPARTMENT OF LABOR - ESG
Louisiana Attorney General Jeff Landry, Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton, Utah Attorney General Sean Reyes, and Virginia Attorney General Jason Miyares co-led a 26-state Notice of Appeal filing in Utah v. Su.
WORKERS' RIGHTS
Illinois Attorney General Kwame Raoul led a coalition of 11 attorneys general in writing comments to the U.S. Department of the Treasury and the Internal Revenue Service regarding "enforcement that would protect workers’ rights to prevailing wages on renewable energy and green economy projects where employers claim expanded tax credits."
EDUCATION
Maryland Attorney General Anthony Brown and Massachusetts Attorney General Andrea Campbell co-led a coalition of 19 attorneys general in filing an amicus brief in Mahmoud v. McKnight.
HEALTHCARE
California Attorney General Rob Bonta, led a coalition of 25 attorneys general, in submitting a letter "to urge the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) to strengthen guidance and provide clear warning labels regarding incorrect pulse oximeter readings for patients of color."
AGO HIGHLIGHTS
Ohio Attorney General Dave Yost met with military veterans working at an Amazon facility in Licking County who described the struggles and successes of transitioning to the civilian workforce.
West Virginia Attorney General Patrick Morrisey announced artwork by students from the Northern Panhandle, who are regional winners of the office’s seventh Kids Kick Opioids contest, will be on display at the State Capitol building from Nov. 3 to Nov. 12.
