"I really, really like the concept of there being a qualifying process and a final that is for up and coming riders," said Golombek. "It's important for me as a professional that we have those riders coming up. Yes, it's competitive, but it's a very fun environment."
Golombek is a world-class equestrian who has competed in hunters and jumpers, and she's qualified, competed and placed at some of the most prestigious horse shows in the world, including the Capital Challenge, the Pennsylvania National Horse Show, the National Horse Show, and the CSIO Rio de Janeiro.
Based in Wellington and Belgium, Golombek specializes in training young horses for national and international competitions as well as providing lessons to beginning and established riders in hunters, jumpers, and equitation. She'll spend the summer in Europe competing on the in
ternational Grand Prix circuit and searching for special talented jumpers and hunters.
Golombek praised SEMF creator James Lala for creating a competitive, yet healthy atmosphere for up and coming riders.
"It really provides a place for those riders to develop and build on," she said. "James is conscious of keeping it affordable, conscious of keeping it fun, and conscious of keeping it safe.
He always does an exciting format, such as a Nation's Cup format for the jumpers. He always comes up with something a little different,"
"I am pleased that AG Equestrian and Arly Golombek are returning again as a finals sponsor," Lala said. "I have had the opportunity to work with Arly in many facets of the horse world, and Arly is a class act! She has a fantastic reputation, rides and trains impeccably, and is a seller of many of today's winning horses at the top shows. Arly is quite unique to the business, and I'm really pleased that she understands my mission with the Southeast Medal Finals."
Golombek is sponsoring the AG Equestrian Junior Hunter Finals. She also will be donating some riding lessons to benefit the SEMF charity, Kids Cancer Foundation. To learn more about AG Equestrian, visit its Facebook page at www.facebook.com/Agequestrian.
