Impact of Tax Liability of PPP Funds to Corporate Principals
With S Corporations

It has come to our attention that there may be an adverse tax liability regarding Massachusetts taxability of PPP Funds and the impact to corporate principals who have S corporations that would require forgiven PPP funds pass through to the individual owners. The tax consequences seem formidable to S corporation principals.

Here is an excerpt from a Legislative Bulletin recently published by the Massachusetts Society of CPA's. The link to the email explains the issue and tax impact in detail. We advise any member who may fall into this category to seek advice from their CPA or Financial Advisor.

March 19 | 8:30 a.m.

Arising out of the growth of ZOOM and similar internet platforms, Virtual Mediation has gained significant traction as a cost-effective and expedient way to find common ground, even in the most contentious of disputes.

Based upon nearly 100 years of experience between them, John Fieldsteel, Wally McDonough and Joe Barra will debunk many of the myths of virtual mediation including: Inadequate Security, Confusing Technology, Ineffectiveness, Inconvenience and more. They will also share tips and answer questions on how to make the virtual mediation experience meaningful in order to put your dispute in the best settlement posture possible.
