Community Better Challenge!
WE HAVE STARTED! JOIN US!

Aspen Gardens/Westbrook will be participating in the ParticipACTION Community Better Challenge, the physical activity challenge that rallies communities to get moving. We are calling this the ACGL's Move It to Improve It! Let's get active and win prizes from ParticipACTION and from your very own AGCL.

There are 3 ways to track physical activity minutes:

1) Download the ParticipACTION app (https://apps.apple.com/.../participaction.../id1450396324). Track your activity by syncing your to fitness tracker or manually by tapping on the shoe icon on the home screen. There are exercise videos and articles on the app too. On June 1st, there will be a box in the home screen titled COMMUNITY BETTER CHALLENGE. Click on it and then tap on JOIN THE CHALLENGE. If you need any additional help using the app, please email: [email protected]

2) Go to the website https://www.participaction.com/.../community-challenge. Click SIGN UP NOW. Click TRACK PERSONAL MINUTES (for you and your family). You are not able to track minutes here until June 1st.
* ParticipACTION will be tracking minutes according to the postal code that is used in the registration on either the app or the website.

3) Keep your own diary of activity minutes for the month of June and email them to [email protected] no later than June 30!
AGCL Community Garbage Big Bin Day
Sunday June 6
1-4 pm
AGCL Hall Parking Lot
Have any household refuse that you need to get rid of? Feel free to bring it to our community sponsored big bin event. This is intended for items that are too large for you to place out on garage collection day. Hazardous items are not accepted.

Please note this bin goes DIRECTLY to the garbage dump, so not all items are accepted, as we do not sort any material for recycling.

Items that are NOT accepted are: Paints and paint related products, any hazardous waste, electrical items (no TVs, computers etc), small or large household appliances. If the item can be recycled, it will not be accepted at AGCLs big bin event.

RULES:
  • Must show current AGCL membership upon arrival to the hall
  • Must maintain physical distancing
  • Must be able to place your own trash into the bin (we will not help unload material)
  • Must be patient and kind to AGCL volunteers
  • Please wait in your car in the line that will form and our AGCL volunteers will signal when you can enter the parking lot.
