April 16th - AGM Notes #2
Message from Linda Tucker
It was my pleasure to be your President.

I just wanted to let you all know of some of the extra jobs that were done as president because of Covid.

My husband Derek and I came in after the first shut down in 2020 and worked in the kitchen giving it the yearly cleaning, saving the Center over 1,000 dollars. We also started a inventory, which will be required by our accountants to prepare the yearly statements in future.

Then I attended the Center 3 days a week for members to pick up books and puzzles by appointment, when no calls were coming in after a few months, I cut down to one day a week, to check the mail, take care of the bills, and also prepare the monthly financial reports.

Our vice-president was unable to come to the Center due to illness in the family, so the job of acting secretary went to Rick Hines (Thank you again Rick). I picked up the task of doing the Board meeting agenda and sending out all the reports to the board members, and making copies for board members without a printer.

I really wanted to be involved with the AGM but because of Covid fatigue and stress my body and mind just wasn't up to the task. After talking to some members and friends I will continue as Past President.

Looking forward to seeing you at the AGM.

Linda Tucker, President from 2019 to 2021.
