Updated Mask Policy in Effect
Effective February 11, 2022 Asphalt Green no longer requires members to wear a mask while exercising on the fitness center floor or in the studios. Masks are required in all other indoor spaces, including the pool deck, locker rooms, lobbies, and stairways.
The safety of our community is our first priority. Because the pool is a shared space with children under 5, who are not yet eligible to be vaccinated, masks continue to be required on deck. Staff will continue to wear face coverings at all times.
Thank you for your understanding as we adapt to new guidelines. We are continuing to reevaluate our policies to ensure the health, safety, and comfort of our community.

The Biggest Open Water Race in the World!
This could be the most amazing swim you ever do! It's the world famous “El Cruce” or “the Crossing” which passes over an underwater museum in Cancun, Mexico.
To start the 10K race, you wade into the warm, clear water of the Mexican Caribbean on the shore of Cancun and swim toward Isla Mujeres. Just before you finish the
race you get to swim over the unbelievable underwater museum!
The museum was commissioned as a way to build an artificial reef. During the race, you swim over 500+ statues at the bottom of the ocean for coral to grow on, which has created a whole new ecosystem. With the clear water and shallow depths, these works of art can be seen as you race overhead.
If that distance is too much for you, there is the challenging 3.8K Cancun Iron Swim and the Cancun Mile the Saturday before the 10K.
The Cancun Mile and Cancun Iron Swim are each capped at 450 swimmers. The 10K, El Cruce is capped at 1,000 swimmers making it one of the largest 10Ks in the world—and they all sell out!
All the races have numerous world class swimmers, but the majority are there to experience this amazing event in one of the vacation capitals of the world. For this year at least, you don’t have to qualify, everyone is welcome!
Stay tuned for more details in the coming weeks about this extraordinary race. We will chat again with more information at the next Cocktails with Coaches. If you have not already had a look at the race video check it out.
