Newsletter: October 9, 2022
Due to an unprecedented national shortage of lifeguards, our practices at the Upper East Side campus will continue to be short course yards, except on Sundays. This will remain in effect through the end of 2022. Thank you for your understanding, and we will let you know of further updates.
Thank You All for Showing Up to Celebrate Jane Katz
Thank you to all who joined us at Asphalt Green's Upper East Side campus for our 2022-2023 season meet-and-greet.

It was exciting sharing our vision for the new season and seeing everyone outside of the pool deck — especially without caps and goggles! We also celebrated fellow AGUA Masters swimmer Jane Katz’s induction into the International Swimming Hall of Fame (ISHOF)!
Coach David Rodriguez came by to extol her accomplishments and what she represents to not only the swimming community at large but to all AGUA Masters swimmers as well as the Asphalt Green community. It's a great honor to have Jane represent New York City aquatics, and we wish her nothing but the best.

Submit Your Favorite Music

Taking a cue from the AGUA swim team, a bit of music during morning practice will surely get us moving. Do you have a few songs in mind you'd like to hear during our practices?

Let us know while we're on the pool deck or submit your recommended, team-appropriate tunes to Coach Jim at jwu@asphaltgreen.org — preferably songs that are upbeat and exciting — and we'll add them to the AGUA Masters workout mix on Spotify!
