A Note From Head Coach Jim
We structured the 2022-2023 season so that each practice builds upon the last. Right now, we're building on fundamental skills and practicing basic drills as we work our way to the next phase — more aerobic, heart-strengthening swim sets.

As we move through the season, this progressive-style structure will give us goals to train for and reasons to push our threshold. The hope is to provide more competitive swim training for those seeking that.

If you’re swimming simply for fitness, that’s also fine! This progressive structure won't change our training too much — it will just give us some context and a heads up on drills to expect as we transition from pre-sets to main sets during our practices.

With that in mind, please take a few minutes and fill out our 2022-2023 season questionnaire and share your thoughts with us! We want to work with you to reach your swimming goals.

Swim Spotlight
Alister Ramirez
Since I was out of the pool for almost two years, competing at the 2022 UANA Pan American Masters Championships in Medellín, Colombia was particularly challenging.

I was struggling with my own recently diagnosed cancer as well as the pandemic.

However, thanks to consistent hard work, the AGUA Masters coaches, my awesome lane teammates, and Jim Wu’s dedication, patience, care, and extra-fast training, I was able to accomplish my goal: to improve my personal times in the 100m freestyle, 50m freestyle, and 50m backstroke.
This time I was visiting Colombia, my country of origin, but I was representing AGUA Masters and the United States.

I feel extremely proud of being an American citizen, and I am grateful for what I have and what I have been able to achieve.
