Due to an unprecedented national shortage of lifeguards, our practices at the Upper East Side campus will continue to be short course yards, except on Sundays. This will remain in effect through the end of 2022. Thank you for your understanding, and we will let you know of further updates.
Join Us for an Intrasquad Meet!
It's time to try fast swimming! We're introducing a friendly, intrasquad meet on Saturday, October 29 from 6am to 8am at Asphalt Green's Upper East Side campus.

Swimmers from the Upper East Side and Battery Park City campuses are invited to sign up and join! Since we’ll use all eight lanes at the Upper East Side pool and will need the coaches from both campuses, morning practice at both locations will be canceled.

Dr. Bill Ross Memorial Masters Swim Meet

The annual Dr. Bill Ross Memorial Masters Swim Meet is scheduled for Sunday, November 20. Hosted by the Metropolitan Masters Swimming at Nassau County Aquatics Center and AGUA Masters swimmer, Robert Kolonkowski, this is an awesome meet at a pool that features meters racing in the middle of our season.

For this meet — and any USMS-sanctioned meet — swimmers will need to be USMS-registered participants. Learn more and register to compete!
Share Your 2022 NYC Marathon Bib Number!

Several fellow AGUA Masters swimmers and coaches are running at the 2022 TCS New York City Marathon on Sunday, November 6. We wish you all the best of luck!

If you’re participating, please share your bib number so we can easily find you and cheer you on.

Swim Workout

If there are swim workouts you’ve done before and would like to share, we’d love to highlight them! Submit your workouts by emailing Coach Jim at [email protected].

For those that are able to find a bit of extra time to swim, check out the following pool workout. Please note, these intervals are for short course yards but feel free to adjust as necessary.

  • Warmup (Set yards: 700)
  • 300 swim
  • 2 x 100 kick with 0:15 rest
  • 4 x 50 (descend at 1 - 4) with 0:10 rest

  • Pre-set (Two rounds; Set yards: 1,200)
  • 4 x 75 IM Order as 50 drill / 25 swim at 1:30
  • 2 x 150 freestyle swim at 2:30

  • Main set (Two rounds; Set yards: 1,200)
  • 2 x 200 IM at 3:00
  • 4 x 50 free at 0:45
  • 1:00 rest
