Due to the ongoing national shortage of lifeguards, our practices at the Upper East Side campus will continue to be short course yards, except on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays. This will remain in effect through the end of 2022. Thank you for your understanding, and we will let you know of further updates.
Join Us for the AGUA Masters Holiday Potluck
Join us on Saturday, December 17 from 5pm to 7pm for our team potluck to celebrate the holiday season together!

Sign up to let us know what delicious dish you want to bring and share — outside of the water of course.
As a reminder, please be conscious of our vegan and vegetarian teammates, and note if what you plan on bringing is vegan or vegetarian-friendly.

Plus, no need to worry about duplicate dishes. You may bring the same food as someone else.

No Practice due to the Holidays

Due to the Christmas and New Year's holidays, there will be no scheduled practice on the days below. We will update you on additional schedule changes when we have more information.

Training Tips
Swim Workout

If there are swim workouts you’ve done before and would like to share, we’d love to highlight them! Submit your workouts by emailing Coach Jim at [email protected].

For those that are able to find a bit of extra time to swim, check out the following pool workout. Please note, these intervals are for short course yards but feel free to adjust as necessary.

  • Warmup (Set yards: 800)
  • 300 swim
  • 300 IM as kick / drill / swim by 25's
  • 200 pull

  • Pre-set (Three rounds with paddles; Set yards: 1,800)
  • 100 swim (freestyle) at 1:40
  • 2 x 75 breaststroke at 1:30
  • 3 x 50 backstroke at 0:55
  • 4 x 25 butterfly at 0:30
  • 100 FRIM at 2:00

  • Main set (Three rounds; Set yards: 1,800)
  • 8 x 50 freestyle at 0:40 (or an interval that will give you roughly 0:05 of rest at a high intensity)
  • 200 freestyle (strong effort) at 4:00 (built-in rest)
