AGUA Masters Weekly Newsletter
Welcome to all who have joined in the new year! We are excited to have you swimming with our growing team, and look forward to seeing you on deck.

A few reminders for the group:

Respect your teammates. AGUA Masters is made up of swimmers ranging from novice to former collegiate All-Americans. When you support your fellow athletes, our team thrives.

Bring your gear to practice. We recommend TYR Catalyst Stroke Training Paddles, TYR Hydroblade Fins, and snorkels; available with a 40% discount from our friends at TYR with code ASPHALTG19.

Be on time. Coaches write workouts with the expectation that their swimmers will be in the water and ready to go at the start of practice. Late arrivals disrupt the flow of the workout for you, your teammates, and your coach.
Upper East Side Practice Schedule Alert
Due to the annual Martin Luther King Jr. Swim Meet, the pools at our Upper East Side campus will operate on modified schedules from Saturday, January 18 to Monday, January 20. All Upper East Side AGUA Masters practices will run short-course yards during this time.

Who's Up for a Training Trip?
Beat the dog days of winter with this advice from AGUA Masters Coach Matt Donovan, and start brainstorming ideas for a training trip. Last year we traveled to sunny Florida and beautiful Bermuda. Have suggestions for 2020? Email us!
Share Your Story
We want to showcase your swim-successes! If you are out in the world competing and have a tale to tell, please feel free to clue in one of your coaches or share on our team’s Facebook page. We love hearing from you.
Get to Know Your Teammates: Sara Geld
You can find Sara at lunchtime practices at our Battery Park City campus. She loves the feeling of clearing her mind when she swims. Sara enjoys traveling. The most interesting place she's visited is Patagonia—both the Chilean side and the Argentine side. Outside of the pool, she is interested in genealogy and farming. Sara's favorite way to start the day is with reading and meditating. Read more about Sara on our blog.
