For open water swimmers who are used to sighting, it can be easy to get in the habit of lifting your head. However, in a pool—you know where the wall is! Mark your distance by referencing the line on the bottom. Find your balance, and allow your hips the ability to flow, not drag. Start swimming downhill! Explore via trial and error and challenge yourself with new drills to help correct your alignment.

As always, if you have questions, my door is open. Please feel free to email me at jbeck@asphaltgreen.org.

See you at the pool,
